This will be a pivotal year for democracy – 4 billion people in more than 60 countries will go to the polls in 2024.

There has been a slide in democracy around the world in recent years: at the international level, at the national level and in our workplaces. But trade unions of working people are uniquely placed to protect and promote democracy.

That’s why, on 4th March, the ITUC launched its brand-new campaign: For Democracy.
